Why Use DNI?

Many CRMs and phone systems that use tracking numbers for marketing campaigns employ a “last-touch” attribution model. This means that the last step the consumer takes is the one that gets credit for the call, lead, and revenue.

Consumers are directed to your website from various sources, including advertisements, social media, and online directories. The standard setup is the website has a single tracking number, so the website is given credit for the call leads, even the ones originating from other sources.

ClevrDNI enables you to set custom rules that will show the source campaign phone number instead of the default one on a website. When a customer clicks through another site and gives you a call, your reports will tell you they came from social media, a mailer, a referral card, or other campaign sources.

Our tests have shown that ClevrDNI can be safely used with another DNI script, but has not been tested with every other DNI service out there. We suggest using a staging site for testing and deploying it afterward.

Note that the script that is loaded first will be prioritized, so choose the more critical DNI platform as your primary option and the second one as a backup.

While there is no 100% guarantee that it does not and will never affect search engine rankings, our direct experience and research have found no evidence that using DNI will affect SEO.

Websites and their programming can be very tricky at times, so there is always a chance that something may not work quite right. We highly suggest using a staging environment to test it thoroughly. If needed, the script can be removed without any adverse effects, and we encourage you to report the problem to us in your dashboard.
